The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them little choice but to travel to the northern region in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Questers and Schemers tables.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
